GREEN, GREEN, GREEN Machine!!

   Last week I went to the store to stock up on my groceries for the week, and shared a video on Facebook @ Oh How She Glows, and on IG @ohowsheglows. The reason I shared that video, is because many may not know what to get from the store that are healthy choices, or may choose items that they think are healthy, but are filled with ingredients that you can't even pronounce. With today's food containing so many toxins that are the cause of many chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, gallbladder disease, cancer, etc...
  It is imperative that you fill your cart up with the color GREEN!!!, so that your body is strong enough to fight off foreign objects trying to enter.  Some GREENS include: broccoli, cucumbers, arugula, kale, spinach,......Eating clean is something that does not come easy, I promise you there is no magic pill to it. It is a process, that must become a habit, and eventually become a ritual.
Balance is key and to maintain your machine i.e ( the body), you must add green to the cart. So I encourage you to start with at least 2 greens in your cart that you may like, or adding something new that you have never tried before.

Your Beginning to Living Healthier Through a Happier Life

   A couple of days ago, I posted on Facebook that living healthier means living a happier life. When I first started my journey of health, I had no idea where I was going in this ride. Initially, I just wanted to loose weight, and tone up so that I could feel better in my clothes Lol, It was not until I was fully committed to make a transition, that I wanted to do more for not only myself, but for others as well., so I began with ways to improve my HAPPINESS!!
 I asked myself:
  • What brings true happiness to my life?
  • What are my Intentions? (Thank you @shemakescents for pointing that out)
  • How can I share that healthy living means living a happier life?
  I said in 2017, one thing I was not going to do was second guess my decisions, and make choices that would benefit my health and HAPPINESS. There will be mistakes and doubts, but it's the lessons learned from the mistakes and doubts, to help prevent from going down the second guessing path again.
In order to seek your HAPPINESS, you have to start. Initiate a healthy habit to bring you closer to your happiness. I challenge you to stimulate your mind to get you where you truly want to be. Any start is greater than no start, and remember to treat yourself the best possible way and reap the benefits of pure satisfaction!!

    Beets!! When you think of this vegetable, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Typically seeing them at your restaurant salad bar, that wasn't the most popular item. I remember at a young age my Aunt gave me beet juice, and I wondered why was she giving me this strong red drink, but long and behold would I know and blog about the many benefits of Beets!!
Why you should Choose and Use Beets:

 "Humble Beginnings"

     It's been exactly 10 days since I hosted my first Health & Wellness Forum. The preparation, dedication, and love that went into it has truly been a blessing to me to recognize "humble beginnings". We all must start from a beginning to get to another level, but in order to push through to that next level, you need a team. What can be done alone, can double in numbers. So, I want to personally say Thanks to all of my "Special Guest", my cousin David Nash for planting the seed to allow me to use Pinnacle Fitness Center, as a platform for my event, and everyone who supported me in this whole process, and there after. I want to send a special Thank you to my family, my mother Kathy Clark and my sister Dione Cubas for solely dedicating their time, skills, and love in my Forum. Without either one of these ladies, that day would not be as half as what is was on Saturday August 20th, "LOVE YOU GIRLS".
       Authenticity and a open approach to health is what I wanted to portray and reveal that day. Although I have accomplished some of my dreams, I'm certainly not perfect, but what I am learning is alignment. If were out of touch with the mind or the body, then we're not truly healthy because we are disconnected from self. At times you may have to reconnect or re-focus so that you may continue on your road of success, and the only way to see your vision is to remind yourself that you can. There will be falls (not failures) and mistakes, but keep going. I want you all to flourish in every aspect of  life, and invest in yourself as a Priority!!! and no longer as an Option!!. Do You Choose to Infuse?

Infusion of water, is taking some form of supplement i.e ( fruit, vegetables, tea, herbs) to settle in the liquid while producing a natural flavor. This water is a good source for detoxification of the body, energy, and most importantly HYDRATION.
